Welcome to “Living with a Cochlear Implant, EURO-CIU symposium” in Helsinki, Finland,

20-21 April 2017

The topics are Health Economics, Music and Cognitive Development, Peer Support and Rehabilitation, Accessibility to Education, Multilingualism, and Design for All.

Please submit the abstracts before 20th February.
The decisions will come latest 12th March.

Registration fee -50% for the poster-presenters - includes daytime program in symposium, lunch and afternoon coffee (registration will open soon)

  • 2 days 125 euros
  • 1 day 90 euros

 

For the event we have an exciting list of speakers in the field of Music and Cognitive Development (and CIs).  We will introduce you not only new scientific findings on this field, but also workshops  including singing, rap-music (Johanna Pätzold and Björn Petersen), figurenotes and playing in a band using them, Finnish speech-music groups and their methods for young children with CIs, and world famous Finnish music play school system and music and autism. Thus, you will get new ideas not only for your theoretical basis of you research, but also for creating musical interventions and for rehabilitation.
