Special Issue: Computational modelling of cochlear implants

Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to announce the publication of a Special Issue of the journal Network: Computation in Neural Systems on the topic of "Computational modelling of cochlear implants": http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/inet20/27/2-3

The issue contains articles providing an in-depth review of computational models of the cochlear anatomy and electrical field propagation, biophysical and phenomenological models of electrical neural stimulation as well as models of bilateral and of optogenetic stimulation along with a view to the history and future of cochlear implant models. We hope that this comprehensive review can stipulate wide-spread research and use of such models.

If your university does not have a subscription to the journal, please contact individual authors for author's copies.

Kind regards,

Bernhard Seeber and Ian Bruce
