PhD Studentship applications University of Sydney – School of Electrical and Information Engineering We are seeking PhD studentship applications to participate in an international spatial-audio research project lead by the School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Sydney. IPRS scholarships are available to
cover fees/stipend (http://sydney.edu.au/scholarships/prospective/international_postgraduate_scholarships.shtml#iprs) for qualified students on a
competitive basis and top-up funding ($25K AUD) is available for three years. Students will complete a project in the areas of spatial audio, signal processing, and machine learning under the supervision of Craig Jin (University of Sydney), Tony Tew (University
of York), Augusto Sarti (Politecnico di Milano), and Joan Glaunes (Université Paris Descartes) and will study both in Sydney and in collaborating laboratories. The research project focuses on morphoacoustics: relating ear acoustics to ear morphology using
the tools of Large Deformation Diffeomorphic Metric Mapping and Fast Multipole Boundary Element Method. Applicants should have the equivalent of First-class honours in the UK system and some demonstrated research capability to receive the IPRS fee waiver. Interested applicants should apply here:
