The 60th AES International Conference will be held February 3?5, 2016 in Leuven, Belgium, at the
Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe (http://www.leuveninstitute.eu). This conference will focus on
Dereverberation and Reverberation of Audio, Music, and Speech (DREAMS) and aims to bring together
and provide a forum for researchers working on the modeling, control, removal, and synthesis of
acoustic reverberation. The interdisciplinary nature of the topic will cover disciplines such as room
acoustics, psychoacoustics, and signal processing.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:
- Vesa Välimäki, professor of audio signal processing at Aalto University, Finland
- Emanuël Habets, associate professor at the International Audio Laboratories Erlangen & chief scientist
for spatial audio processing at Fraunhofer IIS, Germany
- Thomas Brand, senior scientist and head of the Speech & Audiology research group at the University
of Oldenburg, Germany
TECHNICAL PROGRAM: http://www.aes.org/conferences/60/program.cfm
The Conference will feature 28 paper presentations and 13 demonstrations in a single-track format
covering a wide range of topics:
- Room modeling, measurement, and simulation
- Artificial reverberation synthesis
- Perception of reverberation
- Spatial sound
- Sound field reproduction
- Applications of spatial and reverberant audio processing
- Speech enhancement
- Beamforming
- Room equalization
- Robust automatic speech/speaker recognition
- Perceptual evaluation of dereverberation algorithms
- Applications of dereverberation
- Instrumental measures for reverberation and dereverberation
