Dear Colleagues, The Tinnitus Research Initiative will soon hold its 9th international conference, this year at the University of Michigan June 7-10. The meeting is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (USA) and the Kresge Hearing Research Institute at the University of Michigan. The theme of the conference is "Tinnitus: from cochlea to brain and back" (Chair, Professor Susan Shore, PhD). Topics include cochlear pathology in tinnitus, synaptic plasticity, changes in auditory and nonauditory brain structures, somatosensory modulation, and translational research. The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 1st but there will likely be some flexibility around this date.
