Dear Giuseppe, I completely agree with all your points, except #6. In general, I find emails I don't care about very easy to ignore (nothing like begging children or students, for instance). And this also applies to emails of people complaining that the list is not what they think it should be... But since I'm here now, I'm adding that IJA is particularly difficult to get to, often not part of publisher packages. Paid access is $54 for 24h... The normal route would be to contact the authors, but this particular article, although it has a DOI, was published more that 20 years ago (... I know, 1992 feels like yesterday for me too), and I couldn't track down an email address for the authors (even though I live in the same country). So I also think that Brian Katz comment was rather unjustified.
