Assistant Professor Position in Communication Sciences & Disorders
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA, COLUMBIA, SC
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, housed within the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina, has a 9-month, tenure-track assistant professor position available beginning in August 2014. Qualified applicants will have a PhD in Communication Sciences & Disorders or related field. Responsibilities include conducting research in area of expertise, teaching, and service. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong record or promise of extramural funding.
The Department has strong ties within the Arnold School of Public Health, the USC Institute for Mind and Brain, the McCausland Center for Brain Imaging, Palmetto Health hospital, and the local VA hospital. It currently has 23 full-time faculty and offers two CAA-accredited master’s degree programs (on-campus and distance-learning) and a PhD program. The University of South Carolina has a Carnegie Foundation ranking of “very high research activity.”
