Ph.D. Student Research Position in Speech & Hearing Science
A funded Ph.D. student research assistantship is available at the University of South Carolina (USC) in the Speech Perception Laboratory (http://sph.sc.edu/comd/fogerty). The USC Speech Perception Laboratory investigates speech understanding difficulties of young and older adults under adverse listening conditions. The position is supported, in part, by an award from the National Institutes of Health (NIDCD).
The position is open to students interested in pursuing advanced research training in the area of speech perception, speech acoustics, hearing science, or auditory cognitive science. Candidates with backgrounds in related fields (e.g., audiology, speech-language pathology, psychology, linguistics, engineering, computer science, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
