Since its inception in 2000, ISMIR, the International Conference on  
Music Information Retrieval, has rapidly become the premiere venue for  
the presentation of research in the multidisciplinary field of  
accessing, analyzing, and managing large collections and archives of  
music. This year's conference features 105 paper presentations, 4  
tutorials, 2 invited talks, and a special concert showcasing advances  
in music technology. The complete program, schedule, and proceedings  
for ISMIR 2008 have been posted on the conference website:

Advance registration for ISMIR 2008 will *close* on Friday, September  
5 (at 11:59 PM EDT). Afterwards, only onsite registration will be  
available (those registering onsite are not guaranteed admission to  
the conference banquet).
