Since its inception in 2000, ISMIR, the International Conference on  
Music Information Retrieval, has rapidly become the premiere venue for  
the presentation of research in the multidisciplinary field of  
accessing, analyzing, and managing large collections and archives of  
music.

We are also very pleased to announce our invited and keynote speakers  
for ISMIR 2008:
- Keynote speaker: Jeanne Bamberger (MIT, UC Berkeley)
- Invited speaker: Dmitri Tymoczko (Princeton University)

Although the early registration deadline for ISMIR 2008 has passed,  
registration will remain open on a first-come, first-served basis as  
long as space remains available. The number of registrations is  
approaching conference capacity, so we encourage you to register as
