Post-doc position
Research Associate in Auditory Perception
Applications are invited for the position of
Research Associate in the research group of Prof.
Brian C.J. Moore, in the Department of
Experimental Psychology, University of
Cambridge. Other members of the group include
Dr. Brian R. Glasberg, Dr. Tom Baer and Dr.
Michael A. Stone. For information about the

The position is funded by a Grant from the
Medical Research Council (U.K.). The position is
available from 1st December 2008 until 30th September, 2013.
The holder of the position would be expected to
co-operate in the planning, setting up, running
and analysis of psychoacoustic experiments with
both normally hearing and hearing-impaired
subjects. The work also involves experiments
using speech stimuli, and the evaluation of
signal-processing schemes for hearing aids.
Applicants should preferably have a Ph.D. in an
area closely connected with hearing, for example
psychoacoustics, audiology, audio engineering or
speech science. Experience in testing
hearing-impaired subjects would be an
advantage. Experience in programming (including
Matlab) would also be an advantage.
The starting spine point will be at or below 45 (salary not more than £30,912).
