Department of Psychology, Lancaster University Post-Doctoral Research Associate Start salary £22289 We are seeking to employ a Research Associate full time for three years on a BBSRC funded project that will use psychophysical techniques to investigate the processing of sound in the cochlea. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Chris Plack. They will develop MatLab software to run the experiments, recruit participants from normally hearing and hearing-impaired populations, collect and analyze the data, and assist in the writing-up of research results. They will also be involved in the development of a MatLab model of the human cochlear response. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in psychophysics, engineering, or a related discipline. Experience with MatLab and/or C programming is desirable. This appointment is to start on 1st May 2006 or as soon as possible, thereafter. The starting date can be no later than 30th June 2006.
