Programmer The Computational
Systems Modeler
will be an integral part of a team effort supporting a research program
aimed
at characterizing and modeling suprathreshold distortions in auditory
processing by persons with impaired hearing. These projects will be
conducted
by the Research Section of the Army Audiology and Responsibilities include:
Experience
Required: Several years of experience in Hearing Science, Linguistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field with an emphasis on auditory processing of speech and other sounds is required. Background knowledge in the following areas is preferred: neural coding in normal and impaired auditory systems, neural mechanisms for speech processing, models of auditory signal processing and perception, psychoacoustics, computer programming/computational modeling. Education Required: Ph.D. in Hearing
Science,
Linguistics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or
related field
of acoustics is required. Candidates with post-doctoral experience are
