Lecturer Post

Here is an announcement that I received from Dr. Faraneh
Vargha-Khadem for a Lecturer position in London.  It gives the
closing date for applications as Tuesday 30th November, 2004 and
a Provisional Interview Date as Friday 10th December 2004.
However, I believe that these deadlines would be extended for an

Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Unit
Institute of Child Health, University College London

We are seeking to appoint a lecturer in Developmental
Cognitive Neuroscience to carry out full
time research on the neurodevelopmental basis of
memory. The research focus will be to study
memory in children and adolescents with and without
neuropathology, with an emphasis on
auditory memory in relation to speech and language.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary
team that applies behavioural and cognitive
testing, structural and functional brain imaging,
event-related potentials, and other emerging
techniques to investigate normal and abnormal
neurocognitive development. Applicants must have
a PhD in Psychology or related discipline, and should
have over two years of relevant
postdoctoral experience, although an applicant with
less experience will be considered if uniquely
qualified.

The appointment to lecturer is for 48 months fixed
term with starting salary ££27,989 (on the
Non-Clinical Lecturer B scale), plus ££2,330 London
Weighting per annum.
