ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATIVE DISORDERS

UNIV. OF WISCONSIN - MADISON


The Department of Communicative Disorders, University of Wisconsin-Madison,
has a faculty-level, Assistant Professor position (tenure track) available
effective August 22, 2005.  Areas of specialization include: audiology and
hearing science, especially as these relate to diagnostics,
habilitation/rehabilitation, experimental audiology, pediatrics, cochlear
implants, and/or hearing disorders.  Candidates will be expected to develop
and conduct a program of independent research in areas of specialization;
teach undergraduate and graduate professional courses within the department;
advise students in academic and research areas; serve on departmental and
university committees; and, contribute to the AuD and Ph.D programs.
Candidates trained in Communicative Disorders, Experimental Psychology,
Cognitive and/or Behavioral Neuroscience, or a related field, who can
address one or more of the areas mentioned above are encouraged to apply.
University-level teaching and/or post-doctoral research experience is
preferred, though entry-level individuals are encouraged to apply.  Clinical
and/or professional experience is preferred, though clinical certification
is not required.  Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with
