finding repeting sequences in a signal

Dear List,
              i'm planning to begin an alnalysis work trying to compare language accents in French Guyane and the notes used in people's
singing.
In particular i'm trying first to find out some melodic repetitions in improvised singing. I think i saw once on the web a software allowing
to extract/underline sequences repeting in a signal (correlation between different parts), but now i cannot find the place. Do someone of
you know a software that allows such an analysis?
