Categorical Perception

Hail,

My name is Daniel, from Brazil.
I need some new information about categorical
perception of speech sounds, concerning "non-
behavioral", attention-independent, decision-
independent, response variables. 
In addition I would like to know 1)your point of view
about the use of Voice Onset Time as an adequate
independent variable in the scope of these studies, and
2) what do you think about those models according to 
which there is no need for concepts like "categorical
perception".
