LECTURER B/SENIOR LECTURER IN SPEECH
AND LANGUAGE THERAPY (REF 153/02)
The Human Communication and Deafness Group of the University of Manchester,
UK, wishes to make two new appointments to join an energetic team with an
international research reputation: a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Audiology
and a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy. The people
appointed will have an interest in higher education and will wish to
establish or further develop their research career; they will be
research-active, with a record of research and publication, and will be
expected to make a significant contribution to the research profile of the
Group. Teaching duties will involve teaching and supervision of
undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Audiology (REF 152/02):
Applications are invited from audiologists or hearing scientists. Any
discipline within audiology or hearing science will be considered; a
professional qualification in clinical audiology would be an advantage.

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy (REF 153/02):
Applications are invited from registered speech and language therapists. Any
discipline within speech and language therapy will be considered but
preference will be given to candidates with research interests in speech and
language processing.

Salary: Lecturer B scale (£25,455 to £32,537) according to qualifications
and experience, or for exceptional candidates on the Senior Lecturer scale
(£34,158 to £38,603).
