Clinically you could be talking about severe capd (central auditory processing
disorder) or even some form of aphasia.  This latter, however, is not true
auditory processing in most cases.  I have also seen the term auditory apraxia
used which is actually incorrect as it probably denotes a severe form of capd.
Capd includes what used to be termed "auditory dyslexia".
