Teaching assistanship in Biophysics and Medical Computing.

A job vacancy will shortly become available at the Faculty of Medicine of
the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (Albacete, Spain).

The duties include collaborating in the teaching of the subjects "Physical
Basis of Medicine" and "Medical Computing," as well as research in the
simulation of neurobiological systems (particularly the auditory system)
under the supervision of Dr. Enrique A. Lopez-Poveda.

The initial contract is for two years (Sep.2000 - Sep.2002), but it can be
expanded for a total of five years.  The initial gross anual salary is
around Pta3,000,000.

Applicants should preferably have a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. in science or
engineering (preferably Physics or Medicine). They should have experience
in computer programming and signal analysis.  A knowledge in biophysics,
neuroscience and/or audiology would be an advantage.  Applicants must be
members of the European Union and, most importantly, they must prove to be
fluent in Spanish.
