This is a brief update on two of them. The 3D Tune-In Toolkit (a binaural spatialisation tool with hearing loss an= d hearing aid emulators, freely available as C++ code, as well as standalon= e app, VST plugin and Unity asset) has changed license, and is now under LG= PL. This means that you can actually use the open-source code and incorpora= te it in compiled software you=92ll then commercialise and sell, without ne= eding a specific license from us or pay royalties. If you though modify it,= then it needs to be released open-source with the same LGPL license. More = information about the 3DTI Toolkit can be found at the end of this email. It=92s though important to underline that the 3DTI Toolkit has been superse= ded by the Binaural Rendering Toolbox - BRT (https://github.com/GrupoDiana/= BRTLibrary/), which incorporates several more functions, tools and versions= (as well as the actual 3DTI Toolkit, which is the actual binaural renderer= ). The BRT is GPLv3, so it can be used for free as long as whatever you rel= ease incorporating it is as well released with a GPLv3 license. If you are = interested to know more about the BRT, please get in touch and we=92ll be h= appy to share some demonstration and training material. Of course please share with colleagues and students! Best Arcadio Reyes Lecuona (Universidad de Malaga) and Lorenzo Picinali (Imperia= l College London) You can find some details about the 3DTI Toolkit spatial audio implementati= on in this paper: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=3D10.1371/journal.pone.0211899 And the code is available from the GitHub repo: https://github.com/3DTune-In/3dti_AudioToolkit An example of the functionalities of the Test Application can be found in t= his video (use headphones when listening): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DosJQ0Kxv1P0 and here is a video demonstrating the hearing loss/hearing aid functions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DjtEL__hwmq0 The Test Application (the one you see in the videos) is available for MacOS= , Windows and Linux at the following link: https://github.com/3DTune-In/3dti_AudioToolkit/releases/latest At the link above, you can also download the VST plugin, both for MacOS and= Windows, as well as the Unity wrapper -- Lorenzo Picinali Professor in Spatial Acoustics and Immersive Audio Dyson School of Design Engineering Imperial College London Dyson Building Imperial College Road South Kensington, SW7 2DB, London E: l.picinali@xxxxxxxx https://profiles.imperial.ac.uk/l.picinali https://www.axdesign.co.uk/ https://www.sonicom.eu/ --_000_LOVP265MB8837B63C613EB639FA8ADEDFBA7CALOVP265MB8837GBRP_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="Windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3DWindows-1= 252"> <style type=3D"text/css" style=3D"display:none;"> P {margin-top:0;margin-bo= ttom:0;} </style> </head> <body dir=3D"ltr"> <p class=3D"elementToProof" style=3D"margin: 0px;"><span style=3D"font-fami= ly: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: black;">Dear Colleagues= ,</span></p> <p class=3D"elementToProof" style=3D"margin: 0px;"><span style=3D"font-fami= ly: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: black;">&nbsp;</span></= p> <p class=3D"elementToProof" style=3D"margin: 0px;"><span style=3D"font-fami= ly: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: black;">You might (or m= ight not) have used some of our Spatial Audio rendering tools before.
