Please see below for details. -------------------------- On 3 =E2=80=93 4 March 2026, the Royal Society will host a residential Theo= Murphy scientific meeting in Manchester, on the topic of vision augmented = hearing. This meeting will be led by Professor Jennifer Bizley from University Colle= ge London, Professor Michael Akeroyd from the University of Nottingham and = Professor Adrian KC Lee from the University of Washington, Seattle. Acoustic information is not the sole determinant of how the everyday world = sounds. Human brains rely on vision to rescue hearing in situations when au= dition is hazy or worse. Perception continuously, seamlessly binds information across senses, but ho= w this works remains mysterious. This scientific meeting will gather diverse experts to unify the latest res= earch and chart a path towards better virtual and augmented-reality technol= ogy. There will be a poster session on Tuesday 3 March 2026. Attendees can apply= to present a poster. This meeting is intended for researchers in relevant fields. Advance regist= ration is essential. More information about the speakers, programme and how to register for this= meeting can be found on the Royal Society website. <https://urldefense.com= /v3/__https://royalsociety.org/science-events-and-lectures/2026/03/vision-a= ugmented-hearing/__;!!BDUfV1Et5lrpZQ!Wn5ARv0Y7Ckr2Y4tuXXwiXOCn25AX8Uj3jWcBO= E1UHVQQBvhTbNAL_Rv9uo3rHsLOlUEcXEsWcjvF9NvYQ$ > =E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2= =80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94=E2=80=94 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Adrian KC Lee, ScD Professor Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences University of Washington, Box 357988 Seattle, WA 98195-7988 Phone: (206) 616-0102; Fax: (206) 221-6472 Email: akclee@xxxxxxxx Web: https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.akclee.com__;!!BDUfV1Et5lrpZQ!W= n5ARv0Y7Ckr2Y4tuXXwiXOCn25AX8Uj3jWcBOE1UHVQQBvhTbNAL_Rv9uo3rHsLOlUEcXEsWciU= p57Q5Q$=20 --Apple-Mail=_1FBCF032-8EE1-4BA4-9E9A-80842E9BEE80 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html><head><meta http-equiv=3D"content-type" content=3D"text/html; charset= =3Dutf-8"></head><body style=3D"overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mod= e: space; line-break: after-white-space;"><div>Dear Auditory-listers</div><= div><br></div><div>Jennifer Bizley, Michael Akeroyd and I are co-organizing= a meeting hosted by the Royal Society and there are a small number of plac= es available for additional attendees.
