The conference will be hosted in a hybrid format at the Centre of Excellenc= e in Music, Mind, Body, and Brain, at the University of Jyv=E4skyl=E4, Finl= and, on September 22-24th, in 2026. The keynote speakers of the conference = are Prof. Katrina McFerran, Prof. Elizabeth Margulis, and Prof. Hauke Egerm= ann. MUSICONNEX conference addresses the following questions: * How can music help to connect with self and others? * How can we study and measure this across mind, body, and varied contexts? * What are the related next steps in research and engagement platforms? The MUSICONNEX Conference welcomes original abstracts for onsite and online= oral presentations or poster sessions. Abstract submissions open 2 Februar= y, 2026 and the deadline is 31 March, 2026 (23:59 Eastern European Time). A= ll abstracts should be written in English with a maximum of 250 words. Deta= iled guidelines will be provided soon on the conference website<https://www= .jyu.fi/en/events/musiconnex>. We welcome submissions relating to: identity, emotion, self-regulation, sel= f-connection, movement, social bonding, relationships, agency, empowerment,= wellbeing, and mental health. The fields of research will include: music p= sychology, music cognition, emotion research, movement research, developmen= tal psychology, music education, music therapy, and youth research. Each submission will be reviewed by the scientific advisory board and notif= ication of results will follow in June.
