This position is supported by our recently funded NIH R01, =93Effects of No= ise-Induced Hearing Loss on Auditory Decision-Making.=94 Our research uses = awake-behaving gerbils and combines animal psychophysics, high-channel-coun= t electrophysiology, optogenetic and chemogenetic circuit manipulations, an= d computational approaches. We welcome applicants with a PhD in neuroscience, psychology, biology, biom= edical engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may include ani= mal behavior and psychophysics, in vivo electrophysiology or imaging, roden= t surgery, neural circuit manipulation, auditory neuroscience, computationa= l neuroscience, and/or programming in MATLAB or Python.
