Sound has become not only a medi= um for conveying data, but also a powerful catalyst for engagement, reflect= ion, creativity, and community. With developed sonification techniques, est= ablished design principles, and an expanding ecosystem of tools for sonific= ation and sound computing, the time is right to consider how auditory displ= ays can extend their impact: sound to inform, inspire, and include.=20 The ICAD 2026 committee is seeking full papers, extended abstracts, concert= pieces, demos, installations, workshops, and tutorials from across the ful= l spectrum of auditory display research and practice. This year, we are par= ticularly interested in approaches that use sound to broaden participation,= spark insight, promote accessibility, strengthen community, and support in= clusive interaction. We also welcome contributions that use auditory displa= ys to foster awareness of global challenges, such as sustainability and soc= ial justice, and that explore how sonic communication can help societies na= vigate these issues. We invite contributions that push the boundaries of ho= w sound can build bridges between communities and even continents. The Conference will take place in a distributed synchronous format across t= hree tightly connected hubs on July 28-31, 2026. This format will allow us = to reduce long-distance travel and maintain a more positive impact on the e= nvironment.
