In this = seminar, Dr Ian Wiggins and Dr Adam Hill will introduce the WHO Global Stan= dard for Safe Listening Venues and Events, describing its development, key = features, and requirements. They will go on to discuss a case study conduct= ed at the Serendipity Arts Festival, Goa, India, which in December 2023 sou= ght to be the first large-scale event anywhere in the world to comply with = the WHO standard. Finally, they will discuss some of the latest development= s in this space, including the launch of the HELA Initiative, consisting of= an online training and certification platform for everyone involved in the= live event sector and an associated collaborative network designed to pump= -prime innovative, interdisciplinary research in this area.
