The conference will be held from September 15 to 17, 2025, at the Convention Center =E2=80=93 CDC =E2=80=93 UNICAMP. For more details on submission guidelines and the review process, please visit the conference website: https://sbcm2025.nics.unicamp.br/ Important deadlines: - Submission Deadline: May 31, 2025 - Notification of Acceptance: July 14, 2025 - Camera-ready Submission: August 18, 2025 Submission Categories: Full Papers: Submissions must present original research on technical or musical topics and may be between 6 and 8 pages in length. All papers will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Accepted papers must be presented orally at the conference, and both the written submission and the presentation must be in English. The event proceedings will have an ISBN and DOIs assigned to each paper. Contributions are welcome in, but not limited to, the following tracks: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Music Information Retrieval; Software Development for Musical Applications; Computational Musicology; Musical Cognition and Computer Music; Real-Time Musical Systems for Improvisation and Telematic Performance; Machine Listening and Musical Creation; Audio Signal Processing, Sound Analysis, and Digital Audio Effects; Physical Modeling and Sound Synthesis; and Sound Spatialization and Immersive Environments. Selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version for the Brazilian Journal Musica Hodie. The selected papers will be required to follow the journal guidelines, available at https://revistas.ufg.br/musica/about/submissions#authorGuidelines. Short Papers: This category provides a platform for presenting ongoing research, artistic projects, lab reports, and experimental approaches that explore the intersection between computing and music. Submissions are open to individuals, research groups, collectives, or academic and artistic initiatives. Papers should objectively present technical, artistic or propositional work, outline the methods used in its development, and/or articulate its relevance to the scope of the conference=E2=80=94especially regarding the intersections between computing, music, and other artistic or technological practices. Short papers could be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish and will be presented in a poster session. Performances and Artistic Works: Works that explore the intersections of computing, music, and other artistic and technological forms. An accompanying short paper (up to 4 pages) discussing possible methods used in developing the work, and/or a motivation of how it relates to the conference scope should be submitted along with the artistic work proposals= . The 2025 SBCM Committee would like to strongly encourage the diversity in research and artistic submissions including and encouraging the participation of women, peripheral artists, black men and black women artists, LGBTQIAPN+ and even more. SBCM is a biennial event organized by the Computer Music Interest Group (CECM) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). Check our archive!
