We are offering two fully funded PhD positions at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) within the ERC CoG project “Scalable Spatial Sensing and Dynamic Reconstruction of Complex Sound Fields (SONIFY)”.
This project provides a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in acoustics, sound field analysis, spatial audio, and room acoustics. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong background in acoustics, audio engineering, signal processing, and related fields. The successful candidate will join an international research environment focused on advancing next-generation methods across experimental, virtual, and computational acoustics.
The PhD positions will be hosted in the Department of Audiovisual Engineering, under the guidance of Efren Fernandez Grande. Being an ERC funded project ensures freedom to pursue ambitious and original research ideas, collaboration with leading research institutions, long-term impact and frontier research focus as well as high scientific visibility.
