Launched in 2008, Music, Mind & Brain has grown into an international community of researchers and professionals working across academia, the creative industries, education, health, and technology. This distinctive programme combines music psychology and neuroscience to understand the biological and cognitive foundations of musical behaviour, and their impact on culture and society.


The programme equips students with the skills to conduct cutting-edge research across a wide range of topics in music and science, while also learning how to apply this knowledge in varied professional contexts. We welcome diversity and interdisciplinary approaches, and each year attract students from a wide range of backgrounds, including music, psychology, neuroscience, education, and computer science.
