The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) in the College of Health and Behavioral Studies (CHBS) at James Madison University (JMU) seeks a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.  Applicants with expertise across all areas of audiology are encouraged to apply. 
 The qualified candidate will join a thriving and collegial academic unit with 18 full-time faculty and six part-time faculty with additional adjunct and clinical educators as needed. The department serves an average of 320 undergraduate majors and 125 graduate students across multiple degree-granting academic programs (https://csd.jmu.edu/index.html).  Appointment:
Rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, Tenure Track, 10-month.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities for the position include teaching, scholarship, and professional, community, and/or university service. The qualified candidate will teach courses in the Au.D. and undergraduate programs, with opportunities to teach Ph.D. courses.
 Qualifications for the rank of Assistant Professor
·        A Ph.D. in Audiology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, or related field.
·        Demonstrate potential for quality teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
·        Demonstrate potential to serve the department, college, university, and/or community.
·        Experience with formal or informal mentoring of students.
·        Clinical experience is preferred, but certification (CCC-A) and/or eligibility for state licensure are optional. 
Qualifications for the rank of Associate Professor
·        A Ph.D. in Audiology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, or related field
·        Evidence of substantial scholarship and publication record
·        Record of securing research grants and mentoring PhD students
·        Evidence of quality teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels
·        Evidence of service to the department, college, university, and/or community
·        Evidence of leadership skills and experience with formal mentoring of students
·        Clinical experience is preferred, but certification (CCC-A) and/or eligibility for state licensure are optional.
