[AUDITORY] Music in Hearing Aids: Online Listening Test Participation

Dear all,

We are looking for participants for the assessment of music quality in hearing aids. The goal of this study is to establish a database of variously processed audio content rated by human listeners, with a view to developing more informative models of music listening in hearing aids.

The task involves a straightforward listening test, comparing sounds which have been processed with a simulated hearing aid and hearing loss profile. In each comparison, a pair of sounds is presented, and you will be asked to select the sound that appears higher quality to you.

The listening test is taken remotely on a personal computer, via a secure online testing platform. It takes a minimum of about 15 minutes (for one block) and up to around an hour (for all four blocks, which is preferred but definitely not required). The test can be taken in as many smaller batches as desired, without loss of progress between each session.

If you are interested in taking part, please follow this link. Further information can be found in the Participant Information Sheet. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate and have self-reported normal (i.e. unassisted) hearing. For any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via email.

Thank you in advance for your interest.
Kind regards,
