Postdoc Opportunity on the Precursors of Auditory Rhythm Perception at  
GRAMFC (Inserm U1105, Université de Picardie, France)

I am looking for a postdoctoral researchers interested in cognitive  
development and neuroscience. The project aims to study the impact of  
early musical intervention and across modality cuing on the precursors  
of neural rhythm processing in normal developing infants and those at  
risk of neurodevelopmental disorders.


The successful candidate will join an international consortium  
(https://gramfc.u-picardie.fr/premusic-babymusic/) aiming to  
investigate the development of rhythm perception starting from the  
third trimester of gestation into infancy from different perspectives  
and using different techniques, including EEG, OPM MEG, fNIRS in  
neonates and infants and eye tracking and behavioral protocols in  
infants.
The project began in 2022 and is supported by multiple international  
grants and collaborations.

Requirement: strong background in neural signal processing, advanced  
skills with scripting languages, such as MATLAB or Python, research  
experience in EEG/MEG signal processing/modeling, and high verbal and  
written communication skills

Preferable: knowledge in the field of neurosciences of music and/or  
auditory perception, French fluency

Position details
Employment level: 100%
Salary: based on Inserm standards considering candidate’s experience,  
from net salary of ~2000€ with no prior experience. This level  
supports a comfortable living standard in Amiens.
Starting date: October 2025, applications will be considered until the  
position is filled.
Contract duration: 1 year renewable.
