[AUDITORY] [CFC] SBCM 2025 – Final Call for Submissions: Deadline Extended to June 30, 2025

We are pleased to announce a final extended deadline for submissions to the 19th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Music (SBCM 2025). The definitive deadline is June 30, 2025. The conference will take place from September 15 to 17, 2025, at the Convention Center – CDC – UNICAMP.

All submissions must be made via the SBCM 2025 submission portals:

SBCM 2025 welcomes submissions in the following categories:

Full Papers – Submissions (6 to 8 pages) must present original research on technical, musical, or interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of computing and music. All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review. Both the manuscript and oral presentation must be in English.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Music Information Retrieval

  • Software Development for Musical Applications

  • Computational Musicology

  • Musical Cognition and Computer Music

  • Real-Time Musical Systems for Improvisation and Telematic Performance

  • Machine Listening and Musical Creation

  • Audio Signal Processing, Sound Analysis, and Digital Audio Effects

  • Physical Modeling and Sound Synthesis

  • Sound Spatialization and Immersive Environments

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (ISBN and DOI). Selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions to Musica Hodie. Author guidelines: https://revistas.ufg.br/musica/about/submissions#authorGuidelines

Performances and Artistic Works – Proposals should include a short paper (up to 4 pages) detailing methods and/or the conceptual relation of the work to the conference scope. Evaluation will consider both the documentation and the paper.

ENCM – Escola Nacional de Computação Musical – The ENCM promotes undergraduate and graduate participation in computer music research through:

  • Scientific Papers (up to 4 pages): Written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish. May be presented as posters or talks. Selected contributions may be published in REIC (ISSN 1519-8219).

  • Reports from Research Groups, Studios, or Collectives (4 to 8 pages): Descriptions of current practices or projects.

  • Workshops and Tutorials: Practical or conceptual sessions open to students and the broader academic/artistic community.

Important Dates (All Categories)

  • Final submission deadline: June 30, 2025

  • Notification of acceptance: August 4, 2025

  • Camera-ready version: August 25, 2025
