--000000000000429e00062d8d42c4 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Dear List, Please spread the word amongst any capable and motivated potential PhD students, for this 4-year PhD programme in Newcastle, UK. This is a very exciting opportunity for the appointee to work on an innovative project to quieten chronic tinnitus using a new form of sound therapy which we call Acoustic Ripple Therapy (ART). This follows a positive online randomised placebo controlled trial we conducted. The student will work with leading auditory and acoustic engineering groups on both acoustic signal processing and running EEG studies. They will work to make improvements to the methods of ART, by studying its effect on brain activity recorded with EEG. Finally, there will be the opportunity to run online trials of the optimised form of ART they come up with. *The link to the website with more information is below. However, please note that we ask all interested candidates to contact the supervisory team in advance of applying: kai.alter@xxxxxxxx <kai.alter@xxxxxxxx> or kate.yukhnovich@xxxxxxxx <kate.yukhnovich@xxxxxxxx> . * Best wishes, Will *'Mechanism and optimisation of Acoustic Ripple Therapy (ART) for Tinnitus'* This is the link that gets you straight to the PhD information: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/transformative-neuroscience/newcastle-neuroscience-fund-phd-studentship-scheme/ There are 6 projects advertised, ours is *Project R3* in the list. --000000000000429e00062d8d42c4 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr">Dear List,<div><br></div><div>Please spread the word among= st any capable and motivated potential PhD students, for this 4-year PhD pr= ogramme in Newcastle, UK.</div><div><br></div><div>This is a very exciting = opportunity for the appointee to work on an innovative project to quieten c= hronic tinnitus using a new form of sound therapy which we call Acoustic Ri= pple Therapy (ART).
