The corpus consists of multiple speech = materials, including digits, unscripted narratives, and the = Bamford-Kowal-Bench (BKB) sentences lists, uttered by 30 speakers of = American English. One novelty of the corpus is the multidirectional = aspect, which enables researchers to use speech signals recorded from = different angles around a talker=E2=80=99s head to produce speech = stimuli (e.g., multi-talker babble) that incorporate differing head = orientations of talkers in a scene. The corpus was specifically designed = to be useful for speech perception experiments, but can also be useful = for studies of speech acoustics (e.g. speech directivity). We hope it = will be useful to the community. Details of the corpus have recently been published: Miller et al (2025). An anechoic, high-fidelity, multidirectional speech = corpus. Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research = (https://pubs.asha.org/doi/10.1044/2024_JSLHR-24-00296, pdf available = here = <https://anexlabshs.web.illinois.edu/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/miller-et-= al-2024-an-anechoic-high-fidelity-multidirectional-speech-corpus.pdf>) The corpus itself is available on OSF: https://osf.io/w4h9f/ We want to acknowledge the National Institutes of Health, National = Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders (USA) that = supported this project. Feel free to reach out to me or any member of the research team if you = have any questions about the corpus. All the best, Brian Brian B.
