Before c= hoosing this specific brand and model, we experimented with a few others, l= ooking both at the acoustic features (e.g. frequency and phase responses, e= tc.) and at the interference with our 64-channels BioSemi EEG, and these we= re the ones that behaved better (i.e. broadband response, good enough for b= inaural signals, and no observable interference on the EEG)... I hope this helps. best Lorenzo -- Lorenzo Picinali Professor in Spatial Acoustics and Immersive Audio Dyson School of Design Engineering Imperial College London Dyson Building Imperial College Road South Kensington, SW7 2DB, London E: l.picinali@xxxxxxxx https://profiles.imperial.ac.uk/l.picinali https://www.axdesign.co.uk/ https://www.sonicom.eu/ ________________________________ From: AUDITORY - Research in Auditory Perception <AUDITORY@xxxxxxxx>= on behalf of Elana Zion Golumbic <elana.zion-golumbic@xxxxxxxx> Sent: 23 March 2025 1:50 PM To: AUDITORY@xxxxxxxx <AUDITORY@xxxxxxxx> Subject: [AUDITORY] recommendation for insert earphones? Hi all, Our good-old ER-1 headphones have stopped working, and I see that they are = no longer available... I was wondering if people have recommendations for alternative insert earph= ones that are suitable for EEG studies? We use the ER-3 for our MEG experim= ents, but given that Etymotic is no longer emphasizing research-systems, pe= rhaps we should switch to the IP30 system (by RadioEar)? Any insight here would be appreciated!
