Task: The task of the successful candidate involves using high-resolution n= euroimaging to test for predictive coding mechanisms in the human sensory p= athway in typically developed populations as well as in populations with de= velopmental dyslexia. The setting: TU Dresden is one of eleven German Universities of Excellence.= The successful candidate will be based at the Chair of Cognitive and Clini= cal Neuroscience<https://tu-dresden.de/mn/psychologie/ifap/kknw?set_languag= e=3Den>. The Chair is part of ReDyslexia,<https://www.neuron-eranet.eu/proj= ects/ReDyslexia/> which is a research consortium of neuroscientists and cli= nicians that have the aim (1) to better understand sensory pathway dysfunct= ion in developmental dyslexia, and (2) to directly use this knowledge for i= mproving treatment strategies. ReDyslexia includes studies in humans with d= evelopmental dyslexia as well as experiments in animal models. Experiments = will be performed at the TUD Neuroimaging Centre (NIC<http://www.nic-tud.de= >). The NIC is equipped with a research-only MRI machine (Siemens 3T Prisma= ), MRI-compatible EEG, eye-tracking and noise-cancellation headphones, and = a neurostimulation unit including TMS, tDCS, and tFUS.
