The appointment will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years. Candidates should have (i) a strong background in Neurolinguistics and/or Psycholinguistics, a solid quantitative experience in neuroimaging, machine learning, language intervention, and/or large language models, as well as a strong journal publication record commensurate with rank; (ii) PhD in Linguistics, Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; and (iii) computer programming experience in MATLAB, Python, C++, or other languages. Prior experience with fNIRS, EEG, and/or fMRI research is highly advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to (a) conduct research as the main duty; (b) actively pursue external research grants, such as General Research Fund, in the capacity of Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator; (c) co-supervise and mentor students at undergraduate and graduate levels; and (d) undertake minimal teaching duties at undergraduate and graduate levels.
