--000000000000365b0806135fa2e1 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Dear list, I would like to draw your attention to tenure track opportunities at the recently established Gerald Choa Neuroscience Institute (GCNI) in Hong Kong= . The GCNI was founded as a division of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a generous bequest, which makes it possible to offer generous start-up packages and highly competitive remuneration to young researchers who are ready to step up from senior post doc to faculty member. CUHK consistently ranks in the top 100 universities globally in international rankings, and Hong Kong offers a fabulous quality of life (as I can attest from my own personal experience over the last 8 years =F0=9F= =98=83) The opportunities are open to scientists from any neuroscience sub-discipline, but I will be joining the GCNI myself next month, and I would obviously be delighted if we were able to attract people working in audition to this opportunity. Note that the GCNI is looking to fill multiple positions (we are looking for about 5-6 in this round) so this may be a good opportunity for people with a two-body problem. The official job advertisement is here: https://cuhk.taleo.net/careersection/cu_career_teach/jobdetail.ftl?job=3D23= 0001QV&tz=3DGMT%2B08%3A00&tzname=3DAsia%2FHong_Kong I am happy to answer any questions you may have about this opportunity. I will be setting up my own new lab at CUHK from next month, taking on a joint appointment between the GCNI, the ENT department at the CUHK medical school, and the school of biomedical sciences. I am looking for postdocs, research assistants and PhD students to join me there and to engage in cochlear implant research, both in an animal model and on human patients. So if you are not quite ready to become faculty but are interested in a more junior position in HK, drop me a line. Best wishes, Jan --------------------------------------- Prof Jan Schnupp City University of Hong Kong Dept. of Neuroscience 31 To Yuen Street, Kowloon Tong Hong Kong https://auditoryneuroscience.com http://jan.schnupp.net --000000000000365b0806135fa2e1 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr">Dear list,<div><br></div><div>I would like to draw your at= tention to tenure track opportunities at the recently established Gerald Ch= oa Neuroscience Institute (GCNI) in Hong Kong.</div><div>The GCNI was found= ed as a division of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a gener= ous bequest, which makes it possible to offer generous start-up packages an= d highly competitive remuneration to young researchers who are ready to ste= p up from senior post doc to faculty member.=C2=A0</div><div>CUHK consisten= tly ranks in the=C2=A0top 100 universities globally in international rankin= gs, and Hong Kong offers a fabulous quality of life (as I can attest from m= y own personal experience over the last 8 years=C2=A0=F0=9F=98=83)</div><di= v>The opportunities are open to scientists from any neuroscience sub-discip= line, but I will be joining the GCNI myself next month, and I would obvious= ly be delighted if we were able to attract people working in audition to th= is opportunity.=C2=A0</div><div>Note that the GCNI is looking to fill multi= ple positions (we are looking for about 5-6 in this round) so this may be a= good opportunity for people with a two-body problem.</div><div>The officia= l job advertisement=C2=A0is here:</div><div><a href=3D"https://cuhk.taleo.n= et/careersection/cu_career_teach/jobdetail.ftl?job=3D230001QV&amp;tz=3DGMT%= 2B08%3A00&amp;tzname=3DAsia%2FHong_Kong">https://cuhk.taleo.net/careersecti= on/cu_career_teach/jobdetail.ftl?job=3D230001QV&amp;tz=3DGMT%2B08%3A00&amp;= tzname=3DAsia%2FHong_Kong</a>=C2=A0</div><div>I am happy to answer any ques= tions you may have about this opportunity.=C2=A0</div><div><br></div><div>I= will be setting up my own new lab at CUHK from next month, taking on a joi= nt appointment between the GCNI, the ENT department at the CUHK medical sch= ool, and the school of biomedical sciences.
