Experience as a postdoctoral researcher is preferred for those seeking appointment as an Assistant Professor. Faculty teach undergraduate and graduate level courses within their discipline and area of expertise. Tenure-stream faculty in the UT Dallas Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing lead systematic research programs in state-of-art facilities located at the UT Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders locations. The Callier Center houses individual and core laboratory suites in addition to its comprehensive clinical facilities and is home to UT Dallas=E2=80=99s highly rated Doctor of Audiology and Master of Science in Speech-Pathology programs. Co-localization of clinical and research facilities at the Callier Center enhances opportunities for clinical and translational research efforts. Callier Center clinicians evaluate and provide treatment to more than 4,000 children and adults, with more than 20,000 patient visits annually.
