Encompasses all subspecialty disciplines e= xcept peds, sleep, allergy. I am a Neurotologist/Otologist there currently = .8 clinical .2 research who is director of both the implantables and skull = base programs. Our center is a quasi-academic institute, founded originally= for neuroscience focus but expanding rapidly to other disciplines. There i= s a robust research admin division which currently oversees ~700 clinical t= rials. - My Hearing Health Science Program has been very active in fundraising and= philanthropy circles. We have raised 500k to build and implement an anecho= ic chamber (350k for hard infrastructure, 150k for computing, software, app= aratus). We are near signing the final purchase order and will likely compl= ete construction in later 2024. Also likely have up to 1M that will go into= an endowed chair controlled by me. Goal for this is to start a lab with an= AuD PhD, for which these funds would go toward salary support, pilot funds= , lab personnel, additional tech/infrastructure. - We can use help getting the word out to the AuD PhD community that the op= portunity exists. supported by a very robust clinical practice (will be up = to performing 150 CI/year in next 2-3; 50-60 active transcut BCDs per year,= heavy AN/skull base practice).
