The post-doctoral researcher will join the project 'ALFi: Assessment of lis= tening fatigue in daily life', which aims to develop methods to predict the= additional cognitive effort that hearing-aid users typically need to exert= , compared to normal-hearing peers, when listening in noisy environments in= everyday life. This project will employ a hybrid experimental approach com= bining laboratory tests with longitudinal field trials spanning several wee= ks. More specifically, the aim is to design and carry out experiments to st= udy fatigue in hearing-aid users by applying methods such as pupillometry a= nd functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). The candidate's main working places will be at DTU Hearing Systems (Lyngby,= Denmark) and Oticon Eriksholm Research Centre (Snekkersten, Denmark). The = project will be performed in collaboration with the University of Copenhage= n. The application deadline is 1 June 2023. Applicants are required to have a = Ph.D in hearing science, auditory or cognitive neuroscience, experimental p= sychology, audiology, biomedical engineering, or a similarly relevant disci= pline and have prior experience with pupillometry and/or fNIRS. For more information about the position and the application procedure pleas= e follow this link: Postdoc in Listening-related Fatigue in Hearing-Aid Use= rs<https://efzu.fa.em2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/C= X_1/job/1653/?utm_medium=3Djobshare> or contact Professor Torsten Dau (tdau@xxxxxxxx<mailto:tdau@xxxxxxxx>) or me (D= orothea Wendt; dowe@xxxxxxxx<mailto:dowe@xxxxxxxx>).
