Dear Colleagues, The 10th Convention of the European Acoustics Association, Forum=20 Acusticum 2023, will take place in Torino (Italy) from the 11th to the=20 15th of September 2023. This will be an excellent opportunity to present=20 your most recent work and discuss it with fellow acousticians,=20 researchers and professionals, academics and students. We are pleased to invite you to submit a paper to our special session=20 titled A15-04 Beyond speech: analysis of paralinguistic information in=20 spoken language,=C2=A0 which is part of the theme A15 - Speech. https://www.fa2023.org/structured-sessions/ The session covers research on analysis and characterization of=20 paralinguistic information across different areas related to spoken=20 language technologies, including acoustic phonetics, speech recognition=20 and synthesis, speech perception, and speech pathology assessment.=20 Contributions are encouraged in, but not limited to, the following topics= : =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Paralinguistic information characterization in speech= technologies:=20 Emerging trends and applications =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Computational Paralinguistics =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Perceived Speaker Traits analysis =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Voice quality assessment =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Analysis and synthesis of paralinguistic cues in expr= essive speech =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Paralinguistic acoustic features for pathological spe= ech assessment =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Machine learning exploitation in paralinguistic infor= mation modeling Papers can be submitted for oral (a 20-minute time slot is allotted) or=20 poster presentation through the Forum Acusticum 2023 website,=20 https://www.fa2023.org/authors/ The submission deadline for abstracts is January 31, 2023, while papers=20 need to be submitted by April 30, 2023.
