The appointee will deliver the technical support for all Audiol= ogy teaching activities within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health (F= BMH) Division of Human Communication and Deafness based in the Ellen Wilkin= son Building. The role will require close liaison with academic staff for t= echnical/equipment requirements timetabling and access to laboratory spaces= , and will include some demonstration/supervision of techniques/ equipment = to students. Working as a member of a small team, the post holder will be r= esponsible for managing a suite of teaching laboratories for Undergraduate = (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) teaching of Audiology and Deaf Education, includ= ing support of postgraduate research projects. This will involve class set = up, equipment calibration and testing, purchasing and housekeeping. The pos= tholder will be responsible for troubleshooting and rectifying problems wit= h classes and ensuring that the teaching areas are fully equipped and fit f= or purpose at all times, to maintain high standards required for training s= tudents for clinical practice.
