Research activity, network, and collaboration The professor will be expected to contribute to further developing the rese= arch strategy and profile of the department with special emphasis on Techni= cal Audiology. Employers The Research Unit of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology at the Department of Clinical Re= search is divided into three main sections dealing with research concerning= Surgically Related ENT, Medical Audiology, and Technical Audiology. It has= today 49 employees: 2 clinical professors, a research coordinator, 11 asso= ciate professors, 8 postdocs, 10 PhD-students, five research nurses and 2 r= esearch secretaries. Most of the positions are combinations of clinical fun= ctions (major part), teaching and research. The research unit teaches in three educations: Medicine, Audiology and Audi= ologopedics. Around 1,000 lessons and 200 hours of supervision are delivere= d per year. It produces approximately 40 international peer-reviewed public= ations per year. The funding for 2020 was 14 million Danish Kroner, of whic= h more than 90% were external contributions, primarily established by the a= udiological sections. The Technical Audiology Section conducts basic and applied research aimed a= t understanding hearing-related problems and developing solutions for their= rehabilitation.
