We are looking for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Hearing, to= join the Hearing Group in the Department of Psychology at Nottingham Trent= University (NTU). The post As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Hearing you will be joining= a growing group. We have a research track record of diverse topics in hear= ing: ranging from the neural coding of sound to multisensory integration an= d cognition, in normal-hearing and hearing-impaired populations. We have a = wide range of lab facilities including a sound-attenuating booth, EEG, TMS,= 1.5T MRI (currently used for structural scanning with functional capabilit= ies in the process of installation), eye trackers, and a standing panel of = over 300 older volunteers to facilitate research into the consequences of a= geing. You will have a strong profile of independent research in any area o= f hearing, from fundamental neuroscience to strongly translational, and an = ambition to produce internationally recognised work which will make a diffe= rence. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and NTU Psychology NTU Psychology is a thriving and supportive department (marketing blurb but= also my personal experience), with a large and diverse group of psychologi= sts. It has one of the largest and most productive research units in the Un= iversity, and was responsible for a quarter of all academic outputs at NTU = in the 2021 REF cycle.
