_JOB SUMMARY_

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of=20
Prof. Susan Shore to study neural circuitry underlying hidden hearing=20
loss (cochlear synaptopathy).The position is funded by an R01 award from=20
the National Institutes of Health (NIDCD).Salary will be commensurate=20
with the NIH scale for postdoctoral fellows, starting at $54,835).The=20
Research Fellow will participate in a highly collaborative environment=20
within and outside the Kresge Hearing Research Institute at the=20
University of Michigan. Multichannel electrophysiology, tract tracing,=20
immunohistochemistry, noise exposures, behavioral and optogenetic=20
techniques will be incorporated in this investigation.

_REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS_

=C2=B7Ph.D. in neuroscience, bioengineering or related discipline.Prefere=

will be given to applicant with experience in electrophysiology and=20
behavioral techniques.

organizational skills.

_BACKGROUND SCREENING_

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug=20
