This study is part of Louis Comm=E8re's doctoral research project under the= supervision of Professor Jean Rouat of the Department of Electrical and Co= mputer Engineering. His project is to build a sensory substitution system t= hat transforms a visual scene into sound. The study is conducted to determine Just Noticeable Difference of different= sound categories. The experiment lasts between 25 and 35 minutes and resul= ts are completely anonymous. During the experiment, you will have to compar= e pairs of sounds that are played one after the other. Unfortunately, people who are hard of hearing (https://www.nad.org/resource= s/american-sign-language/community-and-culture-frequently-asked-questions/)= or wear hearing aids or prostheses cannot participate in the experiment. M= oreover the experiment has to be completed with headphones so you should ha= ve one at your disposition. Also, the experiment requires the use of the Go= ogle chrome web browser. If you are interested in this experiment and meet the criteria, you can acc= ess the experiment here: LINK FOR THE EXPERIMENT<https://can01.safelinks.pr= otection.outlook.com/?url=3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Fopenprocessing.org%2Fsketch%2F153= 6387&data=3D05%7C01%7CLouis.Commere%40USherbrooke.ca%7Cfa0a9d8f29544aa4616b= 08da23a5c5fd%7C3a5a8744593545f99423b32c3a5de082%7C0%7C0%7C63786149213760763= 7%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1ha= WwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=3DlL2BQR35X8IqQ1mTnYUOCY99hoEeUQ7d1= PSgnpSExtw%3D&reserved=3D0>. Please follow carefully the instructions that = are given during the experiment. For technical reasons, it is not possible to save the information when the = experiment is finished. We therefore ask participants to upload the csv res= ult file to OneDrive at this address: https://usherbrooke-my.sharepoint.com= /:f:/g/personal/coml2503_usherbrooke_ca/EjWZZx_cSrtEqwF0dlZxVqcBVQo8Juu2dfC= rltoiDrWjww?e=3DjPLIOc<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url= =3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Fusherbrooke-my.sharepoint.com%2F%3Af%3A%2Fg%2Fpersonal%2Fc= oml2503_usherbrooke_ca%2FEjWZZx_cSrtEqwF0dlZxVqcBVQo8Juu2dfCrltoiDrWjww%3Fe= %3DjPLIOc&data=3D05%7C01%7CLouis.Commere%40USherbrooke.ca%7Cfa0a9d8f29544aa= 4616b08da23a5c5fd%7C3a5a8744593545f99423b32c3a5de082%7C0%7C0%7C637861492137= 607637%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6= Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=3Dsicn%2BO6G6ThCPtZMvou1G9FDYg= jEpP%2FOY%2B7Sg8mrw3E%3D&reserved=3D0>.
