Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Linguistics or a closely related = field with a specialization in Psycholinguistics (expected by the start dat= e of the appointment). Expertise in psycholinguistic research on sound stru= cture is preferred, but the position is also open to candidates who focus o= n psycholinguistic research in other areas such as morphology and syntax. E= xpertise in an additional area such as neurolinguistics, language acquisiti= on, or sociolinguistics is also preferred. The successful candidate should = demonstrate excellence in teaching as well as a strong record of research i= n psycholinguistics. The teaching load is three courses in the fall and thr= ee courses in the spring, including introductory courses in linguistics and= more specialized courses in Psycholinguistics at the undergraduate and gra= duate levels.
