Employers The Research Unit of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology at the Department of Clinical Re= search is divided into three main sections dealing with research concerning= Surgically Related ENT, Medical Audiology, and Auditory Science. It has to= day 49 employees: 2 clinical professors, a research coordinator, 11 associa= te professors, 8 postdocs, 10 PhD students, five research nurses and 2 rese= arch secretaries. Most of the positions are combinations of clinical functi= ons (major part), teaching and research. The research unit teaches on three study programmes: Medicine, Audiology an= d Speech and Language Pathology. Around 1,000 lessons and 200 hours of supe= rvision are delivered per year. It produces approximately 40 international = peer-reviewed publications per year. The funding for 2020 was 14 million Da= nish Kroner, of which more than 90% were external contributions, primarily = established by the audiological sections. The Auditory Science Section conducts basic and applied research aimed at u= nderstanding hearing-related problems and developing solutions for their re= habilitation.
